Short Bio

​

Stefania Panighini won the Prize Idee per Alfieri (Festival Astiteatro) in 2004 and then began to work as a stage director and assistant..

Her recent productions include Le songe d'une nuit d'été by Ambroise Thomas, Maria de Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla and Rinaldo by Handel. Futur plans include a revival of Adriana Lecouvreur in Oviedo and a Don Pasquale in Ancona. She is professor of Performing Arts at  State Conservatory of Como and writes several essays in musicology, including a study of Pelléas et Melisande for the Opera Comique (Paris), she makes also videoclip and documentaries.
